American Airlines tries for better time slots at Beijing airport (Updated)

American Airlines is working on the resolution of negotiations with Chinese aviation officials to get better time slots at Beijing Capital International Airport.
The carrier cancelled its inaugural flight between Chicago and Beijing on April 26, 2010 due to disatissfaction with slots issued by the Chinese government.? It has delayed the launch date to May 26, after setting a tentative start up of May 4.
According to a spokesperson, American wanted to land around 1.55 pm and leave later in the afternoon. Instead, it was given the daily landing and take-off slots for 2.20 am and 4.20 am at Beijing Capital International Airport which “were not commercially viable”.
