Garuda Indonesia to launch Bali-Tokyo and Jakarta-Taipei flights

Garuda Indonesia is expanding its Asia-Pacific network with the launch of two new flights from April this year, as well as strengthening existing routes with greater frequencies.
The first of the two new flights will connect Bali with Tokyo Haneda five times a week with an Airbus A330-300, scheduled to take off on April 27, 2012.
Then, on May 19, the carrier will launch its first flight into Taiwan with a daily service between Jakarta and Taipei, using a Boeing B737-800 Next Generation aircraft. Currently, only Taipei-based China Airlines connects these two cities with a direct flight.
In response to greater demand from China and South Korea, the carrier has increased frequencies to Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul. The Jakarta-Shanghai route has been increased from a five weekly to a daily service and the carrier now flies to Beijing five times a week, up from three times a week. Meanwhile, the Jakarta-Seoul flight is now a daily service as well, up from six times a week.
