Jetstar to connect Singapore, Manila and Osaka

Jetstar will launch a new flight connecting Singapore with Osaka via Manila from March 25, 2012, onwards.
The four weekly flights, operated by an Airbus A320, will depart Singapore every Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 0200, arriving in Manila at 0540. From Manila, the flight takes off again at 0655, arriving in Osaka at 1145.
The return leg departs Osaka on the same day at 1725, arriving in Manila at 2015, and departs at 2125 for Singapore, arriving at 0055 the following day.
This new route reflects the demand for low cost travel to and from Japan. Bruce Buchanan, chief executive of the Jetstar Group, said: “Since the start of this year, we’ve announced a total of more than 5,000 addition seats per week in and out of Japan.”
“Jetstar international services from Japan are popular because they offer a very affordable and reliable service on modern aircraft with helpful crew,” added Buchanan.
With this healthy demand in mind, Jetstar Japan, a new partnership between Qantas and Japan Airlines, announced last year (see story here), is scheduled to begin services by the end of 2012 as it has already filed for its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) with relevant authorities.
