Malaysia Airlines has announced plans to increase the amount of inflight entertainment (IFE) offerings on all its Boeing B737-800, B777-200, B747-400 and new Airbus A330-300 aircraft, all of which run an Audio Visual On Demand (AVOD) system.
The carrier is working to double its IFE content: passengers will now be able to choose from 60 movies, up from 30, and 170 TV programmes instead of 94. The number of foreign films will be expanded from 24 to 36 and the audio collection will be beefed up to 400 choices, up from 200.
The carrier also intends to revamp and upgrade its inflight publications Going Places, Select and Temptations.
