The St Regis properties in Tianjin and Sanya have opened their doors, while the St Regis Shenzhen is poised to do the same on December 18, 2011.

As reported earlier (see story here), the 276-room St Regis Tianjin (pictures above) is housed within a glass and steel cube-shaped building with a hole in the middle to symbolise "Jin Men", the Chinese phrase for gateway, to reflect Tianjin’s history as a port city.

Located within the Heping district and along the Hai River, which is close to the Tianjin railway station, the hotel consists of five intricately designed F&B outlets, including St Regis’ signature Decanter wine cellar and the St Regis Bar, a total of 2,700 sqm of meeting space, a spa, gym and an indoor swimming pool.

The hotel’s stand out features include 24K gold and silver menus offered during celebrations at Yan Ting, the Cantonese restaurant that is adorned in silver and gold décor, the signature St Regis butler service and what is claimed to be the largest Presidential Suite in Tianjin, measuring 427 sqm.

Meanwhile, the 401-room St Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort has also opened, with similarly luxurious features. The hotel, designed to resemble two intertwined dragons, consists of an 800m private beach, five F&B outlets, spa, gym and swimming pool.

Features include the St Regis butler service and an exclusive collaboration with the Sanya Yalong Bay Yacht Club (SYYC), enabling guests to sail in and out of the hotel or charter yachts for private events.

While, the St Regis Shenzhen, opening later this month, will be housed within the tallest building in Shenzhen – Kingkey Tower – close to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (see story here). The hotel will have a more contemporary feel, and will offer seven restaurants and bars, a spa, gym, indoor swimming pool and a total of 2,100 sqm of meeting space.
