We have run a charity auction through the magazine and website for many years and, as ever, there is a wide range of wonderful prizes up for grabs, from flights to mini-breaks in luxury hotels, spa packages, lounge access, luggage, books and gadgets.
The auction works like Ebay, except every penny raised goes to charity. We are grateful to all the airlines, hotels, luxury goods suppliers and other companies who have generously donated this year’s items, and without whom the auction would not be possible.
This year we are again raising funds for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. A national medical charity based in Putney, London, it provides specialised assessment and treatment for people with complex difficulties caused by disease, damage or injury to the brain, spine or other parts of the nervous system.
It is one of the leading centres developing best practice in this field, whether in terms of long-term care or providing rehabilitation and innovative treatment to allow those who have suffered a brain injury to lead as independent a life as possible.
