Is this a "proper" fully flat bed, or just a "lie flat at an angle" wedgie bed?

If my memory serves me correctly, Royal Brunei is a dry airline,I would not want to make a flight of that distance, without being able to partake of a drop of wine, I once did about 24 years ago, I have no wish to repeat it.

But having said all that, great fare.

I think it's the old SQ 777s, so it's the Spacebeds. Not proper flat, but one of the better wedgies

I think Brunei is dry; not sure if you can BYOB - some of the others like Egyptair allow you to, and will even serve your alcohol to you

There are some similar priced fares on China Airlines to Sydney floating around - one less stop, alcohol, and presumable mileage-earning on Skyteam?

"Mmmmm. Skyteam."

It's not a problem at all to BYO with Brunei. Suited me just fine going LHR-BNE return. Buy a bottle of booze in duty free at the terminal, hand over to crew after boarding & they'll do the necessary.

Very droll, Homer would be very impressed.

The story has been covered here in October:

It's a keen fare but although there are four Brunei-M'bourne flts a week you can only make a direct connection from London on two days.

Also the London-Brunei service touches down in Dubai.
