My first experience with VX was a very positive one. Decided to fly F-class SFO-SAN and found it very good value at 438 $ return. Check in was quick, friendly and efficient. Boarding a breeze since I was the first one on board. The lighting in the aircraft was a great surprise as you enter a different world altogether, in purple and blue shades. The white leather seats are extremely comfortable in all positions, even if one wants to sleep. The IFE is fantastic, with movies (US and foreign) TV programs, kids plays, interactive route map and more.
The food served on this leg was perfect for this kind of flight, consisting of tasty and nicely presented yogurt and dried fruits. On the flight back the food served was not appropriate for the time of day since it was a morning flight (9:25 departure) consisting of of olives, vegetables and flavored nuts, plus a chocolate delicacy. Would have been more appropriate at lunch time actually. the service was attentive and friendly. The flight arrived 10 mn early.
The only negative point I can make is the lack of closet space to hang coats. One has to put them in the overhead bins, which I found annoying.
All in all this was a great experience which I would recommend and repeat any day
