How the list was compiled is always a question, but never the less some interesting venues.

Amazing how inconsistent these things can be because some of these places dont have 3 or any mitchellin stars? Le Gavroche (84) is my fav for lon xx

Martyn one tip i will give you not all of these places will do it but if you go for lunch they will do a set menu which will be very cheap, but watch the drinks especially the wine will be expensive. Dinner by Heston at the Mandarin oriental in London is about £35 for 3 courses!!! So if you want to take Mrs S out this will be cheaper way and she will love you for it!! xx

Good to see the St.John is in - its one of the few gastro centres where one doesn't need to have another meal within a couple of hours as many of the other establishment's portions, although exquisitely tasty and beautifully presented wouldn't satisfy a chihuahua for breakfast.
